  1. Jonathan, the colors in your photos are so brisk and sharp. The trillium (priest point park?) is placed to the left giving it interest and drawing the eye across the photo. Likewise the three jockeys and horses carry the eye back to imagine those behind them. Then to fill the frame with a clear view of the 2nd horse moving beyond with the first just behind, yet all in 2/3 thirds of the fame gives a great sense of the race. Great photos!!

  2. I'm a sucker for trillium, so that's what I'll critique. If you wanted me to look at the stamen (yellow things), you nailed it. My eye was instantly drawn to the bright color by its contrast with the neutral white & blurred green. The focus on the flower is fantastic. My only suggestion is maybe take another one to see what it would look like with the tip of the top left petal all the way in the top left corner, and maybe even tighter (slightly less green). I love it! ~Meagan
