Simone Priest " Me" Photo

  1. This is a great example of how leading lines invite the viewer into the image and create the illusion of 3D on a 2D picture plane. My eye moves around this image resting along the way at certain colorful shapes. I like the repeating shapes the shadows create on the white table cloth. This is a very tricky lighting/metering situation b/c of the all the various light sources and you handled it well.

Would the elimination of the small white rectangular shape on the left side help to move the eye better?

  2. Barbara, thank you for the comments. I snapped this photo after only having my DSLR Canon for about 2 days. Can you tell me, if you meant removing the sign that is rectangular next to the glass if that is what you meant? Would I do that by cropping? Thanks for your input.
