Suzanne - Shutter Priority

Shutter 3.2 sec
Aperture f/22
Focal length 26 mm
ISO 400
WB Fluorescent
Apparently spot metering was on, though that was inadvertent. Had an unsuccessful day shooting outdoors, so I splashed some water around the kitchen sink and tried this. I used my Gorillapod and a cable release.

  1. Suzanne, I like the efficiency of your pictures. I have a mental image of you just setting it up and click, you've got it. The apples look good enough to eat -depth of field. Good placement- rule of thirds. And you got the running water effect. The color in he upper left is just enough and bring the eye to the running water.

  2. It would be interesting to shoot this still life using several WB settings and various shutter speeds and then compare/contrast. Maybe even add one red apple for variety OR take a bite out of one of the yellow ones OR put the apples in a glass bowl and fill with water and shoot through the glass while the water is running at various velocities AND drop a few drops of contrasting food coloring into the water in the bowl without mixing it to capture the color dispersing through the water. :-)
