Here is my post for our "ME" assignment. I chose this shot of my son for a couple of reasons; he is by far my favorite photgraphy subject, and he is by definition an extension of me....
I like the expression of joy you captured. The shot is exposed well - detail in shadow areas and no blown out highlights. The white balance is right on based on the skin tones.
I wonder if using a lower f/stop to blur the background would increase the emphasis on your your son and de-emphasize the yellow shape. Could you have moved a little to the left to have removed the blue and white shape in the lower left hand corner?
Thanks for the feed back Barbra. I have to be honest... I was snapping away pretty quickly and wasn't checking my corners, which is obvious with the blue and white shape. As for f-stop, it was shot at f/5.6 which was wide open for that lens at that focal length. A nice blurred background was my intent, but I think my equipment limited me in this case... $$$
I love your "extension of me" ... great shot.
ReplyDeleteYour son could not be cuter if someone paid him. What a wonderful photo. ~Meagan
