I think she looks like you! What I particularly like, besides the lovely expression you've captured, is the way the color of her jacket stands out against the dark background.
I like the mood of the image. You have achieved good lighting in the facial features and haven;t overexposed the highlights in the blue hood.
How would the image change if the negative space (the dark shape) on the left was cropped out and only the blue jacket touched the edge of the frame? The sharp contrast and hard edge line between the dark and light blue create a tension that pulls my eye over and holds it in the black shape. If the girl's face was framed a little more to the left using the rule of thirds, I think the image would be stronger.
That's a beautiful portrait, Linda. I can't get my boys unless the shutter speed's on about 1/1500+. :)
