Jonathan, I like your pictures. The winning by a head is great with the rule of thirds and you really caught the action in both pictures. The Lion heads fill the frame and the lighting is great.
Terrific color & lighting on the lion heads - wow! The 3 boats are just perfect with the dragon heads spaced so evenly and all 3 in focus - great timing and depth of field. Actually, the more I look at it, the more I'm impressed with the focusing on that last shot. Everything's in focus from the foreground (including boat reflection) to that last boat, then the background is just slightly blurred. Were you that precise on purpose?!?! If not, just lie b/c I am REALLY impressed! ~Meagan
Here's my prior comment again -- this time without the typo! I love the lion heads -- not just the amazing colors but also how the interplay of the shapes that make up the image give a sense of movement. Yay!
I liked the colorfulness of the lions heads in the first picture--there was alot to take in and it drew my attention. I also liked the symmetry of the paddles in the Winning by a head picture.
