Capitol Building Field Trip/Aperture Assignment

Taken at ISO 1600, this photo is somewhat noisy, but I still think it's interesting. White balance was set to daylight and the aperture was f/6.3.

  1. Ooh, shiny! I really like the warm, reddish glow, the detail, the contrast between the horizontal and vertical and between the round shape and the rest of the object. And it's shiny!

  2. Ann stole my comment. My other comment is that I took 6 shots of this same thing but none turned out nearly as well as yours. I'm so glad I didn't post one of mine! What was your shutter speed? Mine was really slow, w/ ISO 800. I don't notice the ISO noise in yours except maybe in the background, which just helps focus my eye on the SHINYness.

  3. Meagan, I'm not sure what the shutter speed was and have lame-o software that wont' spit that detail out of the metadata. At that ISO, though, I'm sure it was way slow.
