James -- I'm so jealous you took this excellent close-up -- the rich colors, the vertical and horizontal lines, all that gold braid -- I can hear faint strains of "God Save the Queen" and "Pomp and Circumstance" every time I look at this image!
James, the richness of the gold color is nicely brought out by the red background. The sharpness of the gold detail is really enhanced by the background blur of the red.
